Today’s Leo New Moon in your 1st House of Self is a sure sign of significant and immediate change in your life. Don’t wait; this is a smart time to add a new activity to your daily routine or start a project at work or home. But be careful about suddenly redefining your goals because your logic may not be as precise as it should be for a decision of that magnitude. It’s best to begin something you’ve already been considering for a while.
So, the guesses are pouring in & a friend of mine had a dream/vision that the baby was going to be born on the 20th, another friend who wondered when the baby would arrive heard “six!” – no coincidence that at 6am on the 20th we see a New Moon in Leo. Not to get personal, but the baby was conceived on a Full Moon & lots of connections to moons have happened with this little one, so I would not be the least surprised.
Of course, being the kook I am, I pulled the astro chart thru the 20th and wouldn’t you know, there’s a really good chance this kid is going to be a triple Leo (sun, moon & ascendant). Sigh, I’m a Leo, and I loooooove Leo’s, but this is going to be a super radiant kid, I think we are all gonna have to wear shades when hanging with this little one! Oh, but the love and affection and big warm heart that come with Leo’s will melt us if the sun’s rays don’t get us first!
Lordy lordy. So far today, just some practice contractions & a bit of cramping, and I can tell the baby has moved even lower. I’ve has some suprising sensations that I first registered as painful, but since I’ve been practicing Hypnobirthing, I observed the sensations again and discovered it wasn’t painful at all, just really surprising, so I was able to just let the odd sensation go on with it’s bad self. Also weighed myself and I’m tipping the scales at 144, about 35-40 pounds up from my pre-baby weight, so everything is going according to plan!
Still feeling great, but eating like a…well, eating a LOT. I loooooove food!
So, last night there was a big sweet frog sitting on my porch, looking past the screen. Unfortunately, it had recently passed, but I knew this was an animal totem for me to interpret symbolically…
In Egypt the frog is most commonly found associated with the goddess Heqet (or Heket) who was the goddess of fertility and childbirth. Sometimes depicted as a frog or a woman with a frog head Heqet was seen as protectress of childbirth. Her priestesses who were trained midwives wore amulets that bore her image. It is theorized that the reason why the Egyptians saw frogs as being a symbol for childbirth and creation was because during certain times of the year thousands of frogs would surface from the Nile River. Thus creating the belief that this was an omen of fruitfulness. In the Greco-Roman tradition the frog was a symbol of Aphrodite and Venus, along with fertility the frog came to represent harmony between lovers.
According to my most favorite astrology website (so many FREE reports ya’ll!) I’m in for some good stuff in the next year!
April 2009 to March 2010: This influence brings about unexpected breaks and good fortune, as well as a feeling of being free and able to take on any new experience that life has to offer. You feel more daring than usual and willing to experiment with life. Everyone’s life is hedged about with certain restrictions – your job, your family responsibilities, your finances – that sometimes seem to unduly limit your freedom and prevent you from growing. You cannot really afford to throw over these limitations completely, but you would like a break from them once in a while, and this influence provides that break. It may happen through a sudden windfall, a sudden opportunity for personal advancement or the sudden lifting of an onerous burden. But it may also happen in more subtle ways. For example, you become increasingly interested in new areas of thought that open up new vistas of understanding. In this way you escape from the killing routines of your life, not by a sudden overthrow, but by a gradual change in your understanding. This period can bring about new involvement with spiritual teachings, astrology or other revolutionary techniques of mind expansion. You will revolt against narrow ways of thinking and be on the lookout for new approaches to the truth. Yet it will not be enough to understand these truths yourself; you will want to teach others what you have learned. You may become involved in groups or organizations that teach new ideas or are involved in the occult. Under this influence you are extremely conscious of the larger social order, and you always have it in mind, whatever you are doing. You are also inclined to be less materialistic than usual. It is not that you don’t value material resources, but you don’t fear that you will have any shortage of them. “Cast thy bread upon the waters” is your motto while this influence is in effect. Overall, this time represents an enormous opportunity to broaden yourself and encounter tremendous new experiences that will make your life much more interesting and rewarding.
If only you could see the rest of the transits affecting me now, I’ll give you the titles:
Keep it Simple (expires July 9); Family Matters Family matters (End of October 2008 until beginning of August 2009 – the entire length of my pregnancy yo!), Peak opportunities (Mid December 2008 until beginning of September 2009 – ditto!), Magnanimity – this one is about extreme emotionalism and processing things from the past, which would explain the rough two weeks I’ve just had! & A Turning Point “Work with another person and think in terms of mutual growth. By trying to achieve goals set by both of you and by trying to be a twosome, you each will become more conscious of what you are as an individual.” (End of March 2009 until end of November 2009)
Mmmmh, I had a wonderful treatment this morning to help with all the stuck energy in my body. Shook it all loose. My friend & practitioner utilizes this method called Body Talk which uses biofeedback to clue them into what is going on in your body. Any-who, apparently my innate let on that I’m carrying twins. Triplets were ruled out, thank goddess. Won’t know for sure unless the midwife can pick up on two heartbeats or I elect to have a sonogram sometime after week 18. Now, won’t that be interesting? I’m seeing double!
So, for the past yearish I suddenly, without warning, started painting. I had never really considered myself an artist in the classic sense and had never been trained, but all of the sudden these vibrant images started pouring themselves onto canvasses and to all who gazed upon them it was clear that I was obviously undersexed or picking up on the vibrations of the womb. It was further complicated by the fact that I was being told repeatedly by several intuitives that I had a little being knocking on the window, so to speak. So, I’ve got all these seemingly prophetic paintings hanging on my wall now and I was just gazing at my most recent one. I painted this one on the 22nd of December and was l amused when I realized I had painted the image of the great mother. It only became ironic when I held the positive pregnancy test in my hand days later.
This evening, as I took in the Great Mother again, my eyes were drawn to the bottom of the painting where I had originally began this piece with two beings encased in a yellow sac of some kind. And I wondered, OMG, could this imply I’m preggers with twins? The two beings in my Great Mother painting are masculine and feminine. Sigh. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
